- The third annual Middletown Delaware State BBQ Cook-off saw more people in a single day Saturday than it did over last year’s three day long festival. More than 6,000 wristbands were sold May 19 at the event, which was held at Fright Land. The cook-off, which is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, had 55 teams come to compete for a chance to advance to the Jack Daniels Tournament. One group came from as far as Texas.
