Larry Hall Jr. is running for Townsend Town Council. The election will be Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Town Hall.

Educational background: Graduate of Delcastle High School. Delaware Technical & Community College.
Professional experience: In union for 14 years on board of six of them. Everything from trustee to Christmas party chairman.
Why do you want to be a member of council? I want to do something for our town my children are growing up in. Even if I don’t win, I’m going to try to join and help in any way I can.
What do you see as the most important issue in Townsend? How would you deal with this issue if you were elected? Now that’s a loaded question. Everything is important to someone. I’ll take any suggestions anyone has.
What is one thing you would like to accomplish to help improve the town if elected to council? I want to do things for the kids. Example – we still need a park. How about a monthly dance for the kids? As we know, bored kids are kids in trouble.
What would you like Townsend to look like when your term concludes in two years? I still want it to have that small town feel, but with the additions being made that ideal might be long gone.
