    New Castle County Councilman David Tackett invites the public to the next meeting of the Friends of Glasgow Park Saturday, April 30, at 7 p.m., in the Community Room of Delaware State Police Troop 2 on U.S. 40 in Bear.
    Concerned citizens can get involved in helping to develop and maintain New Castle County’s regional park in the Glasgow area.
    Representatives of the New Castle County Police and the County’s Department of Special Services are scheduled to attend to discuss the services they provide.
    A presentation is also scheduled to provide an update on the plans for the park’s historical buildings.
    Glasgow Park is a 300-acre recreational facility with current amenities such as a 2.75-mile multi-use trail, children playgrounds, a sledding hill and a pavilion.
    Future plans include a skateboard area, basketball courts, tennis courts and soccer fields.
