In January 2009, our country made history with the inauguration of our first African-American president. And about a month later, members of the Nobel committee voted to give Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize. When the award was announced in September, Obama deemed it a “call to action.” Meanwhile, America continues to fight wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
