A 42-year-old Middletown woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after Middletown Police were dispatched to the first block of Simpson Place in The Legends neighborhood June 19 for a loud party complaint with disorderly juveniles.

The MPD said officers arrived at 11:49 p.m. and located juveniles playing beer pong with beer cans littered throughout the inside and outside of the residence. Numerous juveniles were observed fleeing the residence by arriving police officers.

The MPD said it made contact with residence owner Margaret Sturm, who said she was hosting a graduation party but had no knowledge of the drinking. Twenty-four arrests of teenagers ages 16 to 19 were made, and all were cited for underage consumption.

Sturm was released pending a preliminary hearing.
