The Smyrna-Clayton Independence Day parade and festivities will be held Monday, July 5.


    The Smyrna-Clayton Independence Day parade and festivities will be held Monday, July 5. The parade will start at 9:30 a.m. on South Street near Smyrna Elementary School in Smyrna, and will end at the Smyrna Municipal Park on North Main Street.
    After the parade, festivities will be held at park including a baby contest, dog contest, musical performances, food and refreshments. Sporting entertainment will feature wrestling and tae kwon-do demonstrations, and lawn mower races.
    Fireworks are scheduled for dusk, across from Smyrna High School on Duck Creek Parkway.
