    The 15- and 16-year-old M.O.T. Senior Baseball all-stars opened District I play with two wins, then were eliminated with two losses.

   Justin Keener pitched a five-inning no-hitter in M.O.T.’s 12-0 opening rout of Harrington. Armando Estrada hit a grand slam home run, while Kenny Hensley and Michael Torres belted solo shots.

    Torres tossed a complete-game two-hitter during a 3-1 win over Camden-Wyoming. Shane McHugh hit a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the fifth to break a scoreless tie, and Larry Carroll upped the lead with a two-run home run in the sixth.

    Keener hit a two-run home run during a 12-4 setback to Smyrna-Clayton. Keener also pitched, and was relieved by Tyler Frombach, Carroll and Estrada.

    Keener and Carroll hit home runs during the final 7-6 loss to Camden-Wyoming. Kenny Hensley went 3-for-4, while Estrada and Zach Blades hit doubles. Estrada was the starting pitcher who faced all but one batter.
