Starting Monday, July 26, at 10 p.m., there will be rolling lane closures on Route 1 near the William V. Roth Jr. Bridge for survey work, the Delaware Department of Transporation announced.


    Starting Monday, July 26, at 10 p.m., there will be rolling lane closures on Route 1 near the William V. Roth Jr. Bridge for survey work, the Delaware Department of Transporation announced.
    The southbound lane closures will begin south of the Route 72 interchange. The northbound lane closures will begin north of the Route 896 interchange.
    The survey work is being done to get additional roadway and topography data for the future U.S. 301 bypass project.
    Traffic will be detoured as follows:
    This project will require the closure of the entrance ramp from Route 13 to Route 1 northbound; the northbound Route 13 traffic will be detoured across the St. Georges Bridge, left onto Route 72 and right onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.
    DelDOT and the Delaware State Police will be on site to perform road blocks. The survey work will be completed on or before 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, pending weather.
