Two Middletown brothers were arrested after they assaulted a 21-year-old who was sitting in his car in front of a friend’s house on Crawford Street.

Tarik A. Williamston, 19, and Tyree D. Williamston, 18, forced their way into the victim’s car and began assaulting him, said Middletown Police Chief Henry Tobin.

After hitting the Townsend man with their fists, they took his cell phone, iPod and sunglasses.

The victim only knew the suspects as “Reek” and “Fatty,” but a Middletown Police Officer who searched the area later was able to identify them.

The 19-year-old was arrested Monday and issued a $12,000 unsecured bond.

His brother turned himself in to police Wednesday and was turned over to the Department of Corrections after failing to post a $27,000 bond.
