    Coach: Craig Ford

    Years as head coach: First year

    Returning players: Rob Pritchard (senior), Billy Livingston (senior), Kyle Jennings (junior), Matt Bacon (sophomore).

    2011 record and achievements: 13-2-1; two-time defending Flight B champions. Rob Pritchard tied for eighth in the Blue Hen Conference.

    Key newcomers: Tyler Jacobs (senior), Tyler Frombach (senior), Alex Lewonas (freshman), Zach Cooper (freshman), Ryan Tudor (freshman) and Brett Nicastro (freshman).

    Coach’s outlook: “I am looking forward to coaching golf this season and really like what I see so far from my players,” Ford said. “With a mixture of returning players and some young talent, I see us competing for the Flight A championship.”

     

    Middletown Cavaliers

     

    Head Coach: Gene Beitman

    Years as head coach: Six

    Returning players: Jack Gerlitz and Thomas Shemanski.

    Key newcomers: Matt Bennett, Joe Graney, Tim Sinclair and Jeremy Haggerty.

    2011 record: 6-8

    Coach’s Outlook: “We have potential for a great season,” Beitman said. “Golf is a tough sport to play, especially at the high school level. With the right preparation and hard work, we hope to continue to improve day-to-day, match-to-match and year-to-year.

    “Our goal for the season is to improve our work around the green, to get better and more consistent with our chipping and putting,” he said. “We hope to lower scores with a focus on improving our short game.”

    St. Georges Hawks

     

    Coach: Mark Robinson

    Years as head coach: Three

    Returning players: Danny Peralta, Jake Rorabaugh (2010 State Qualifier), Shawn Hackendorn, Alex Ricketts.

    Key newcomers: Not determined yet.

    2011 record and achievements: 9-7; Collin Towner qualified and participated in the first round of the state tournament.

    Coach’s outlook: “We have some newfound players that have the potential to contribute to this year’s team’s success,” Robinson said. “Returning players are also showing improved performance. My hope is to continue to guide our players to giving their best in order to give our team the best opportunity for success.”
