  • Lisa K. Kozak, 55, of Middletown, DE passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Monday, June 18, 2012 surrounded by her loving family following 21 years of a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 26, 1956 in Natrona Heights, PA, she is the daughter of John Harry and Joyce (Bumgardner) Kerr.
Lisa was a homemaker who delighted in watching her children grow into the adults they have become today.  She enjoyed crafting and baking but her greatest desire was serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lisa was very active at Connection Community Church and in the Delmarva Emmaus Community. Her passion was prayer; she met on Wednesday’s and Friday’s for prayer.  She also loved to do her daily devotions in God’s word.  Lisa’s faith and spirit will be missed by her family and friends.  We all rejoice with her as she looks upon the face of Jesus.
In addition to her parents, Harry and Joyce Kerr, Lisa is survived by her devoted and loving husband of more than 32 years, Bruce; son, John Kozak and his wife, Jessica, of Clayton; daughter, Lesley Davidson and her husband, Randall, of Middletown; sister, Laurie Kerr of IL and Laurie’s children, Sheila and Matthew Benbennick; a precious and adorable granddaughter, Tatiyanna Kozak, as well as many brothers and sisters in Christ.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held 1 pm on Saturday, June 23 at Connection Community Church, 100 West Green Street in Middletown, where friends may visit with her family from 12:00-1:00 pm.  Interment will be held in Buffalo Church Cemetery, Sarver, PA at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720 in memory of Lisa K. Kozak.
