Taking you for a spin
Tilting Windmills, a Wilmington-based duo, is comprised of Darnell Miller (vocals and guitar) and Javy Diaz (cajon and diembe). The guys collage elements of rock, gospel and jazz into a self-described genre they've coined "flow."
Their new track “My Life With You” literally flows from the moment you hit play, as well as figuratively. The catchy track treats listeners to a well-balanced offering of guitar united with a bouncy baseline and percussive rhythm that’s slightly militant, along with a unique juxtapose of smooth and raspy vocals that mesh perfectly.
After hearing an infectious song like “My Life With You,” it’s hard to not hunger for more new “Tilting Windmills” tracks.
Influenced by Regina Spektor, Sarah McLachlan and Feist, Saad began songwriting as early as middle school and continues to blossom.
The Wilmington native crafts sincere, indie-pop tunes that connect with the listener through piano, guitar and strong vocals. This is evidenced in her debut EP, “Heartbeat,” which she recorded with producers/engineers Ritchie Rubini and Kevin Walsh at Hammerhead Studios in Hockessin.
Saad’s songs mirror a sturdy and passionate debut record.
