The Appoquinimink Jaguars fell to Hodgson in the football season opener Saturday morning, 35-7.

Appo played a strong first quarter, even forcing a turnover stalling a Hodgson drive in the redzone. Unfortuantely, Hodgson was a tough draw for the Jags and talent took over.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Hodgson offense finally broke through for the first of three second quarter touchdowns taking a 21-0 lead over Appo to the locker room.

Hodgson would tack on touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to take a commanding 35-0 lead.

Appo would eventually get on the scoreboard thanks to a 14-yard touchdown pass from QB Landon Archangelo, who had entered the game replacing Shane Anderson, to speedy wideout Malacchi Esdale.

Appo draws another tough oppenent next week in the A.I. du Pont Tigers.
