A band of bad weather is expected to come through the Middletown area today bringing thunderstorms and the possibility of a tornado.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 7 p.m.
Thunderstorms are expected to begin at 2 p.m. with a 70-percent chance of precipitation; increasing to a 100-percent chance at 3 p.m. Winds will be south at 24 miles-per-hour.
Storms are expected to continue until late this evening with the chance of strong, more severe storms increasing between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
A wind advisory will remain in effect until midnight and a coastal flood advisory until 6 p.m.
