Police are looking for Donny E. Skinner, a Newark man who they say made more than 25 traffic violations and threw marijuana from his car while leading police on pursuit.
Warrants have been obtained for a Newark man's arrest after police said he committed several traffic violations and threw a container of marijuana out of his car window Sept. 15.
Middletown Police are asking the public's assistance in locating Donny E. Skinner Jr., 28, who resides at 115 E. Duet Court in Newark.
At around 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15, police patrolling the area of East Main Street and Dickerson Boulevard in Middletown spotted a silver Ford Mustang with expired Pa. temporary tags.
Police said that Skinner was also not wearing a seatbelt.
Police attempted to make a traffic stop at Dickerson Boulevard, but Skinner made an immediate U-turn and accelerated away from the officer onto Cleaver Farm Road.
Skinner continued driving at a high rate of speed through the Millbranch neighborhood, ultimately exiting on to Cedar Lane Road, police said.
Skinner crossed over Marl Pit Road where police said he threw a black case from the passenger side window of his car.
The case, which was a small metal safe, contained a large quantity of marijuana, police said.
Following the pursuit, police obtained warrants for Skinner's arrest charging him with 27 traffic violation, disregarding a police officer's signal, tampering with evidence, and possession of a controlled substance.
