  • Suspect indicted in 2011 Wilmington murder

  • The Delaware Attorney General's Office has secured an indictment charging Antione Anderson with the Oct. 2, 2011 murder of Ernie Cole in Wilmington.

  • A man currently incarcerated in Philadelphia has been indicted on charges including first-degree murder by the Delaware Department of Justice.
    Antione Anderson, 27, who is currently serving time in Pennsylvania for violating his probation, has been indicted in the murder of Ernie Cole, 39, of Wilmington, the Attorney General's Office announced today.
    Anderson has been charged in the Oct 2., 2011 murder of Cole, which occurred in the area of 17th and Thatcher Streets in Wilmington.
    That night, police said that Anderson was involved with an altercation with two individuals at a residence before shooting Cole as he stood on the sidewalk.
    Anderson has also been charged with firing another shot that entered a nearby residence where a woman and her child were sleeping and for assaulting another pedestrian, said spokesman Jason Miller.
    The indictment secured by Attorney General Beau Biden includes charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm, aggravated menacing, reckless endangering and assault.
