A tractor-trailer carrying 30,000 pounds of bricks overturned on Route 301 Tuesday, loosing its entire load.
A 76-year-old North Carolina man was charged with inattentive driving Tuesday after his tractor-trailer overturned on U.S. Route 301 just north of Frogtown Crossing.
Middletown Police said that Irvin Milton, of Warrington N.C., was attempting to pull onto the shoulder of the road at around 8:30 p.m. and a lapse in judgment caused his vehicle to slide down an embankment and into a ditch.
The tractor-trailer then overturned onto its side, loosing its load of about 30,000 pounds of bricks.
Police said that Milton was not in possession of a properly filled out logbook or medical hard.
Along with being charged with inattentive driving, Middletown Police also charged Milton with driving with no proof of insurance.
Milton refused medical treatment and the bricks had to be removed from the scene before the tractor-trailer was towed away, police said.
