A 2011 Appoquinimink High School graduate was shot and killed in Newark Monday night.
Peter DiSabatino, who police said was living in the Studio Green West apartment complex, was found in a parking lot in the 200 block of Thorn Lane around 9:20 p.m. Nov. 11.
He was a student at the University of Delaware.
When emergency personnel arrived, DiSabatino was unresponsive and had an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body, said Cpl. John Weglarz, a spokesman for the New Castle County Police Department.
Paramedics tended to DiSabatino and then transported him to the Christiana Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Two suspects are being sought in the homicide investigation, Weglarz said.
Both men are described as black males, one who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and the other a black hooded sweatshirt.
A perimeter was set up around the area and police canvassed the area to gather information and locate the suspects. A canine team was unsuccessful in their efforts, police said.
Investigators are continuing to collect evidence.
