  • Mushrooms, weed found during collision investigation

  • A Wilmington woman was arrested Nov. 20 after Middletown Police said that they found marijuana and hallucinogen mushrooms in her car.

  • A Wilmington woman was arrested Nov. 20 after Middletown Police said that they found marijuana and hallucinogen mushrooms in her car.
    At 8:30 a.m., police were called to the Park and Ride on Middletown-Odessa Road in reference to a property damage collision.
    During the investigation, officers said that they detected the smell of burning marijuana from the striking vehicle.
    Trace amounts of suspected marijuana were also found on the center consul.
    A search of the vehicle, which is owned by Rebecca Daring, 24, of Wilmington, turned up 4.7 grams of marijuana and 2.4 grams of suspected hallucinogenic mushrooms.
    Police also found a digital scale, rolling papers and a pipe used for smoking marijuana.
    Daring was charged with possession of both drugs and released on a $300 unsecured bail.
