  • Walter S. Wilson, 75, of Smyrna passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. Born in Middletown, De. the son of James and Nona (Reynolds) Wilson, he and his family had also lived in Odessa before moving to the Smyrna area.   • Walter S. Wilson, 75, of Smyrna passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. Born in Middletown, De. the son of James and Nona (Reynolds) Wilson, he and his family had also lived in Odessa before moving to the Smyrna area. He had worked as a dispatcher for Calotex in Middletown retiring in 1992. He was also the president of W.S. Wilson Masonry from 1992 to present.
    He was a Life Member and past active member of both the Volunteer Hose Co. of Middletown and the Odessa Fire Co. He had  served in the Delaware National Guard for 10 years. Walter and his wife were members of St. Pauls UMC in Odessa and also attended Ewell's-St. Paul UMC in Clayton. In his spare time he loved to hunt and fish and spend time outdoors, however greatest love was time spent with family and his beloved cocker spaniel, Jen-Jen.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by an infant son, Walter, 2 brothers, James Jr. and Bozy Wilson and 2 sisters, Mary and Agnes. He is survived bt his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Ann (David) Wilson, 2 sons, Larry Wilson and his wife Wendy of Middletown, and Wayne Wilson and his wife Kerry of Smyrna, 2 granddaughters, Julie Wilson and her fiance JJGrasso, and Jennifer Wilson, 3 sisters, Betty Price, Nona Deputy, and Marie Lavender, and many nieces and nephews. Realitives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at 1pm at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where viewing will be from 11 to 1pm. Interment will follow at Forest Cemetery in Middletown.
