Westside Family Healthcare will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 10 at noon for its new Middletown facility on East Main Street.
The low coast, primary health care facility was awarded a grant earlier this year to service an additional 3,400 patients in the Middletown, Odessa, Townsend, Smyrna, Clayton and Kenton areas.
At full capacity, which Westside Officials plan to reach within two years, the Middletown clinic will create 20 jobs.
The grand opening will mark the opening of the non-profit health care office's sixth clinical locations.
Westside is the largest community health system in the state and currently provides care to more than 23,000 patients, despite their income or ability to pay.
Thirty-three percent of their 2011 budget, approximately $5.2 million, is comprised of Federal funds.
Speakers at the Dec. 10 ceremony will include U.S. Senator Tom Carper, U.S. Congressman John Carney, Westside Family Healthcare staff, and community members.
State Senator Bethany Hall-Long and Middletown Mayor Ken Branner will also speak.
