Second graders at St. Anne's Episcopal School showed off their shark costumes and shark knowledge last week with a Shark Fashion Show.
Denise Russell and Beth Bell supported the learning process and narrated the Shark Fashion Show, sharing what their students had learned about sharks.
Students painted shark heads in art with their art teacher, Kim Reese, chose their own "shark poses," and set the music for the show.
The project allowed students to practice research, editing, writing, and publishing skills, in addition to learning about their specific shark's diet, appearance, behavior, habitat, and interesting facts, said spokeswoman Jenny Randolph.
St. Anne's is a co-ed independent day school in Middletown for children Pre-K through 8th grade.
