  • A Townsend man was arrested Nov. 29 after detectives from the Department of Justice found more than 25 files containing child pornography on his computers.
Harry R. Gosser, Jr., 34, who resides in the 500 block of Oak Hill School Road in Townsend, is facing 25 counts of dealing child pornography.
Detectives seized two computers, an external hard drive and other evidence during their search, which was taken to the Delaware State Police High Technology Crimes Unit for forensic examination.
The examination turned up more than two-dozen files, including depictions of sexual assault against young children between the ages of 3 and 4, said Jason Miller, a spokesman for the Attorney General's office.
The search warrant was executed Nov. 29 following an online, undercover investigation into dealing child pornography that led detectives to Gosser's residence.
"Thanks to the proactive investigation of the Delaware Child Predator Task Force, criminals learn that their online activity has very real and very serious consequences offline," said Attorney General Beau Biden.
Gosser was arraigned by videophone at J.P. Court #2 and is being held on a $250,000 secured bail.
He was then taken to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna where he was ordered to stay.
