Hope Ellison Motter accomplished her dearest wish to die in her home of birth at Noxontown Mill, near Middletown, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. She was 89 years old.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rosetta H. and William Y. Ellison and her husband, Ralph E. Motter.

Her family purchased the Mill, the Mill Pond and the family residence in 1741 from Thomas Noxon.
