  • Middletown's aerial barrage of three-point shooting lifted the Cavaliers to a 65-29 home victory over
    St. Georges Thursday night in boys' high school basketball action. In all, the Cavaliers nailed 8 three-pointers for 24 points that nearly matched the young Hawks total output for the evening. Sar Sambo led the Cavalier scoring attack with 18 points on the evening, and Khai Roberts hit on four threes and totaled 14 points. Maurice Williams was the top scorer for St. Georges with 7 points and Zaire Jacobs-Beazey added 6 for the Hawks.
    Middletown is now 4-3 on the season, and will play at St. Mark's in Wilmington on Saturday, January 5 at 2:15 p.m. Meanwhile, the 1-7 Hawks next contest is Tuesday, January 8 when they host Brandywine at 6 p.m.
