A duo from New York City was arrested in Middletown Jan. 5 after trying to fill a fraudulent Oxycodone prescription at Rite Aid.
Middletown Police arrested Kevin D. Madisson, 27, and Nicholas Wallace, 26, when they returned to pick up the pills.
Officers were called to the Rite Aid on Main Street where the staff told them that the two men were attempting to pass a prescription that had already been filled.
Police learned that the prescription had been photocopied and the original was prescribed in New York. The men had dropped it off at the pharmacy to have it picked up later in the day.
When officers made contact with Madisson and Wallace, they found them to be in possession of 180 30 mg tablets that they obtained from two separate pharmacies in Delaware, police said.
Police found 17 additional photo-copies of the prescription in the suspects' car, with a list of pharmacies in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Both men were taken into custody and charged with drug dealing, fraud to obtain a controlled substance, forgery, and conspiracy.
Wallace and Madisson were each committed to the Howard Young Correctional Facility on $23,500 secured bonds.
