It's that time of the year again.
The annual Girl Scouts cookie campaign kicked off Jan. 5 and will run through March 3.
And cookies aren't the only item for sale!
The area has been chosen to participate in an exclusive pilot program, said Penny Hill, the public relations manager for Service Unit 13.
"This area has been selected to offer a whole new product line, chewy snack bars," she said. "In recognition of the on-the-go lifestyles, these snack bars offer a healthy alternative to cookies."
Two flavors are being sold this year – Double Dutch and Tagalongs.
Each box comes with five bars and can be purchased for a limited time, Hill said.
Over the next two months, the 445 girls in Service Unit 13 will be taking to the doorsteps of Middletown, Odessa, and Townsend to sell their famous Girl Scout cookies.
Service Unit 13 is made up of 61 troops.
All of the your favorite cookies will also be on the list to order – Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalong, DoSiDoes, Trefoils, and Savannah Smiles, all at $4 a box.
