  • Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County is seeking partner families to join its community of new homeowners at one of its five home-ownership seminars or three Spanish seminars to be held throughout this year.
    At the seminars, interested families and individuals will learn about first time home ownership and how the program works to get qualified families into affordable housing.
    The following seminars include:
    10 a.m. to noon, Feb. 16; Cranston Heights Fire Company, 3306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
    10 am. to noon, Feb. 23; Dale United Methodist Church, 143 E. Lake St., Middletown.
    10 a.m. to noon, May 11; Cranston Heights Fire Company, 3306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
    10 a.m. to noon, Aug. 10; Cranston Heights Fire Company, 3306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
    10 a.m. to noon, Nov. 2; Cranston Heights Fire Company, 3306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
    Spanish seminars:
    6 to 8 p.m., Feb. 27, Latin American Community Center, 403 N. Van Buren St., Wilmington.
    6 to 8 p.m., Aug. 7, Latin American Community Center.
    6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 6, Latin American Community Center.
    Open houses:
    1 to 4 p.m., Feb. 17, 2115 Menser Way, Wilmington.
    1 to 4 p.m., Feb. 24, 2115 Menser Way, Wilmington.
