Mrs. Judy M. Hansel, age 39, of Odessa, DE, passed away on Friday, January 18th, 2013.
Originally from Connecticut, Judy was born in Salem on June 13th, 1973. Even though she attended high school in Delaware, she returned to Connecticut to graduate from Quinnipiac University with a business degree and honors.
After college Judy took her love for flowers and started her own floral shop. When not working in her shop Judy spent years working along side the American Red Cross and the Wounded Warrior Project volunteering in any way possible. Judy was a woman who always believed that helping others was the greatest joy in life.
A loving and hardworking wife, daughter, mother, aunt, and friend she will be deeply and sadly missed by many. She is survived by her beloved husband Joshua III; mother Susan W.; brothers Glenn W. and Sean W.; nephews Thomas H., Jason W., Gabriel H., Ben P., and Max W.; nieces Emily W., Susan H., and Shannon H.; parents in-law Joshua H. Jr. and Kimberly H. She was sadly preceded in death by her father Patrick W. and her beloved son who died in service Joshua H. IV.
There will be no burial due to the request of the deceased who donated her body for medical research. Formal private viewing service will be held on Sunday, January 20th, by request of the family. Service details to follow.
