A New Castle man was injured early this morning after an unknown suspect cut him with a sharp instrument, police said.
At 3:30 a.m. Jan. 22, New Castle County Police were called to the emergency room at the Christiana Hospital where the 20 year old victim was taken after the incident.
Police said that the victim was walking in the area of the 1600 block of New Jersey Avenue in New Castle earlier this morning when an unknown man approached him.
Moments later, police said that the suspect struck his arm with something sharp and then immediately fled.
The suspect is described as a man between 25 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pound, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a dark knit cap.
The victim was treated at the Christiana Hospital for his injuries and released.
