The Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated 41 years Jan. 18 with its annual Gala.
Members of the MOT community, business owners, Rotarians, residents and guests joined the MACC for its 41st Anniversary Gala at the Middletown Fire Hall that night, where several people and businesses were recognized with awards.
The MACC President's Award was given to Melanie Baldwin of Wilmington University, Business of the Year went to Cover & Rossiter, Ambassador of the Year was awarded to Dominic Balascio of Parkway Law, the Special Citizen's Award went to Townsend resident Charlotte Kirkwood and the Special Recognition Award was presented to David Lewis of Mooreseal for 25 years of service.
MACC President Tony Martino kicked off the event, installing the 2013 MACC Board of Directors.
"The annual dinner not only celebrated the Middletown Area Chamber's anniversary, but also honored local businesses and citizens who continue to make Southern New Castle County a great place to live and work with the Business and Citizen of the Year Awards," said MACC director Roxane Ferguson.
Guests enjoyed a fabulous dinner by Golden Apple caterers and the musical stylings of the Chatterband for the remainder of the evening with dancing and networking, she said.
