  • Police seek info on suspect who robbed Middletown Valero at gunpoint

  • Middletown Police are looking for a man who they said robbed a gas station at gunpoint early Monday.
    At around 2:40 a.m. Feb. 4, Middletown Police responded to the Valero at 38 East Main Street in reference to a panic alarm.
    The female clerk told officers that the unknown man, who was wearing a disguise, pulled out a handgun and demanded that the clerk turn over cash from the register.
    Police said that the clerk complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect.
    The suspect then fled on foot from the store towards Broad Street.
    A canine track was conducted, ending in the unit block of South Broad Street, but was not successful in locating the suspect, police said.

    The suspect is described as being about 20 years old and was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt or coat.
    He is wanted on charges of robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, and wearing a disguise while committing a felony.
