Middletown defeated Delco 7-3 in the semifinals of a high school ice hockey tournament Thursday night at the Pond. They'll play Newark Friday night for the championship of the Commonwealth Division of the Delaware Scholastic Hockey Association .

Devin Shorey scored 5 goals to lead Middletown High School to a 7-3 victory over the Delco Dragons in a Delaware Scholastic Hockey Association Commonwealth Division semifinal tournament game played at The Pond in Newark. The Cavaliers improved to 18-1 on the season. They will face Newark High School Friday night in the tournament championship game at The Pond. Newark defeated Havoc 4-3 Thursday night. Jeremy Simpson scored three goals for the 15-4 Yellowjackets.
