The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District will close one lane of traffic each way on the Summit Bridge at 9 a.m. on March 11.
The lane closures are necessary to facilitate the sandblasting, steel repair, and painting that are about to resume on the bridge. The two-way lane closures are expected to continue into the summer months. The bridge will be fully closed one weekend this spring, probably around the end of April to replace several sections of the barrier wall that separates traffic.
