  • Hundreds of children and their families kicked off Easter week on Sunday with an old fashioned egg hunt at Odessa Memorial Park.
The event, sponsored by Free Will Baptist Church in Townsend since 2007, featured inflatable slides, Moon Bounces and free hot dogs, followed by a series of egg hunts divided among four age groups.
“It just a fun time and a chance for families to come out and do something positive,” said, Pastor Alan Hines, who led the festivities, which also included Easter eggs being shot out of a gas-powered cannon by Kevin Vandervort of Townsend.
