  • A school bus from a charter school in Clayton rear-ended a DART paratransit bus just north of Middletown during Monday morning’s snowstorm.
Eight students were on the bus during the collision, while the DART bus was not carrying any passengers, the Middletown Police Department said in a release issued Wednesday.
    No injuries were reported.
According to police, both vehicles were travelling south on Cedar Lane Road, near Betsy Rawls Drive, just before 8 a.m. when the paratransit bus stopped for traffic.
The school bus driver, who police did not identify, reportedly told the responding officer that she was unable to stop behind the DART bus because of snow on the roadway.
Both vehicles suffered minor damage in the collision, police said.
The school bus driver later was cited for following too close.
Officials at Providence Creek Academy were not immediately available for comment Wednesday afternoon.
