St. Anne’s Episcopal School is using a recent donation from an anonymous benefactor to offer a pair of scholarships to its middle school, each worth $7,500 a year.
The scholarships are available to the selected students for each year they attend fifth through eighth grade at the school, for a total possible value of $30,000 per scholarship.
To qualify, students with well-rounded academic and extracurricular abilities must complete a school application and indicate their desire to be considered for a merit scholarship by the May 10 deadline. Applications are available at the school and on its website, www.saintannesschool.org.
Applicants also will be required to undergo an interview and visit the school. A required admission exam and writing sample also will be administered from 9 a.m. to noon on May 11.
An information session will be held April 9 at the school, 211 Silver Lake Road, in Middletown.
Scholarship recipients will be notified confidentially May 24 and must make a decision whether to accept by June 3.
