  • Spring Festival planned at Corbit-Calloway Library in Odessa

  • Children's book character, The Wild Thing, will visit the Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library on Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the annual Spring Festival. The day will include a townwide yard sale, a library book sale, plant sale, bake sale, and craft show.

  • Children's book character, The Wild Thing, will visit the Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library on Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the annual Spring Festival. The Wild Thing will have his books, "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak available for sale.
    The day will include a townwide yard sale, a library book sale, plant sale, and bake sale. There will also be a craft show and vendors are being sought.
    Kids and families will also enjoy games and prizes, a moon bounce, face painting, petting zoo, lunch, live music, and other surprises.
    To participate in the yard sale or craft sale, call the library, 378-8838.
    All proceeds from the day will go to the 2013 Summer Reading Program, "Dig into Reading." Registration for the summer program will begin on June 1 for children ages 2-15.
