The Appoquinimink Ruritan Club will hold its annual fund raising auction later this month.
The April 12 event at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 406 Main St., in Odessa will include both a silent and a live auction of items donated by local and regional businesses.
A viewing of auction items will begin at 6 p.m.
Items up for auction include a three-hour pool party at the Hampton Inn in Middletown; membership to John Godwin's Korean Martial Arts Institute in Newark; an overnight stay at Dover Downs; an overnight stay and breakfast at the Kitty Knight House in Georgetown, Md.; a three-month Jazzercise membership; an implant from Premier Comprehensive Dental in Middletown; greens fees and cart rentals at Back Creek and Odessa National golf clubs; gift certificates to Baker's Restaurant in Elkton, Md., Shing Kwong in Middletown, and Charlie Biggs Town Barber in Middletown; tickets to Wilmington Blue Rocks' games and the Delaware State Fairgrounds' Ice Arena in Harrington; as well as gym memberships and items or gift certificates to various dry cleaners, hair salons, archery and fishing supply stores and more.
All funds raised during the auctions will be used to support high school scholarships, contributions to Kay's Camp for children battling cancer, the Wounded Warriors organization and M.O.T. youth baseball team sponsorships, among others.
