Two men are facing theft charges after being caught Thursday with 35 sheets of stolen plywood, police said.
Eric Wasmundski, a 50-year-old Millsboro resident, and Raymond West, a 39-year-old New Castle resident are each charged with theft, criminal trespass and conspiracy.
Middletown Police Chief Henry Tobin said officers were alerted to a possible theft on Braemer Street in the Estates of St. Anne’s neighborhood about 11:30 p.m.
Responding officers stopped a 1984 F-150 pick-up truck spotted in the area and arrested the two men after finding the sheets of plywood in the bed of their truck, he said.
Wasmundski and West each were released on a $1,000 unsecured bond and ordered to follow a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tobin said.
