  • Vickie R. Cleveland, age 51, of Smyrna, DE, gained her wings on Thursday, May 23, 2013.
    Mrs. Cleveland was the daughter of the late Gary C Lasako of Middletown, DE and Charlene Kepley currently residing in Bear, DE.
    She graduated from North East High School in North East, MD in 1978.
    Vickie and her husband, Richard recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on May 1st.
    She was employed at DelStar Technologies Inc. in Middletown, DE for 20 years.
    Vickie enjoyed decorating her newly owned dream home on the lake, was an avid yardsaler and loved baskets. She was a volunteer cheerleading coach for Smyrna-Clayton Pop Warner.
    Vickie was a proud mom-mom and enjoyed spending time with not only her children but her grandchildren as well.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Lasako in 2004, step-mother Carol Lasako in 1997, and step-father George Kepley in 2010.
    Vickie is survived by her loving husband, Richard E, Cleveland Jr. of Smyrna, DE; her two children, RC Cleveland and his wife, Destiny of Smyrna, DE and Dawn Budinger and her husband, Jeff, of Smyrna, DE and step-daughter Christina Morgan of Milledgeville, GA.  She is also survived by her siblings, Keith Lasako and his wife, Sandi, of North East, MD, Darron Lasako of Newark, DE, Paula Gale Pruett and her husband, Bernie, of Newark, DE, Heidi Maslin and her husband, James, of Smyrna, DE, Amy Woerner of Morgantown WV, and George Kepley Jr. and his wife, Angie, of New Castle, DE; eight grandchildren, Noah, Ethan, Mason, Dominic, Miranda, Evan, Devan, and Erick;  father in-law Richard Cleveland Sr. and his wife, Maja; mother in-law, Nan Cleveland and brother in-law, Carey Cleveland and family.
    Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening, June 3, from 6-8 pm at  DANIELS & HUTCHISON FUNERAL HOME, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown and from 11:30-12:30 on Tuesday, June 4, where funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at  Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
