  • A missing Middletown-area teen returned home Friday morning, more than 24 hours after he first disappeared.
    Alex Robinson came home on his own about 9 a.m. Friday and is good health, according to New Castle County Police spokesman Cpl. John Weglarz.
    No further information about his disappearance or his whereabouts over the last day will be released, Weglarz said.
    Robinson reportedly fled his home in the 200 block of Manchester Court in the Misty Vale Farms neighborhood, southeast of Boyds Corner, about 8 a.m. Thursday.
    County police spent most of the day searching for the teen in the area near Misty Vale Farms, the surrounding communities and areas Robinson is known to frequent, but were unable to locate him.
    Neighbors said as many as eight officers participated in the search, using all-terrain vehicles and a state police helicopters to canvas the area.
    At least two reverse-911 calls also were issued to residents in the area, alerting them to be on the lookout for Robinson.

    A 16-year-old Middletown-area boy missing since Thursday morning remained at large more than 24 hours later, despite an extensive search in the area around his home.
    New Castle County Police are asking for the public's help in locating Alex Robinson, who was first reported missing about 8 a.m. after fleeing from his home in the 200 block of Manchester Court in the Misty Vale Farms neighborhood southeast of Boyd's Corner.
    Robinson is described as white, about 5'10" and 180 pounds, with blue eyes and light brown hair.
    He last was seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue basketball shorts.
    Robinson reportedly suffers from an undisclosed medical condition that raises concerns about his welfare, police said in a statement issued Thursday evening.
