St. Joseph's Carnival is lighting up the evenings on Del. Route 299 this week.
For more than a decade now, Middletown residents have been able to mark mid-summer with the arrival of St. Joseph's Carnival, an annual event that lights up a small section of Del. Route 299 for five fun-filled nights.
This year's carnival features more than a half dozen thrill rides and three times as many games and activities, fit for all ages. As in years past, each night features a different menu in the Parish Hall as well as ever-changing music beneath the large yellow and white striped tent on the front lawn.
The carnival began Tuesday evening and will continue each evening through Saturday. Admission and parking are free but the rides and food come with nominal fees.
