  • The Future Farmers of America at Middletown High School are once again selling mums to raise money for local agriculture education.
All the mums – otherwise known as chrysanthemums – are field-grown locally and housed in 9.5-inch peat moss containers ready for planting. This year, the mums will be available in red, yellow, rust, purple or white.
Single containers are available for $8 each or three containers for $20.
Orders – including the customer’s name, number of containers and color of mums desired – should be emailed to Jeffrey.billings@appo.k12.de.us or dropped off at Middletown High School, 120 Silver Lake Road, no later than Friday, Sept. 12. All orders must be accompanied by a check made out to Middletown High School.
Mums ordered through the fundraiser will be available for pickup at the high school barn from noon until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19.
