A 26-year-old Middletown man is facing drug charges following a police raid at a home in the Middletown Village neighborhood last week.
Middletown police reportedly found resident Webster Reed with four grams of marijuana during the raid at home in the 100 block of Vincent Circle on Aug. 29.
He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child who was in the home when the raid occurred about 7:30 p.m., according to police.
Reed later was released on an $11,200 unsecured bond.
Middletown Police Chief Henry Tobin said the raid was a direct result of nearby residents lodging numerous complaints about loitering and possible drug activity in the area.
"The Middletown Police Department responded to, and will continue to respond to, complaints from residents," he said in a release issued Wednesday.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious behavior or suspected drug activity is asked to contact the Middletown Police Department by calling 376-9950.
