  • A 28-year-old man wanted in connection with last month's robbery of the Middletown KFC was arrested in Wilmington on Sunday.
Damar Golden, whose last known residence was on East Lockwood Street in Middletown, was arrested in Wilmington, Middletown Police Chief Henry Tobin announced Wednesday.
Golden later was transported to Middletown Police headquarters, where he was formally charged with second-degree robbery in connection with the Aug. 12 robbery of the KFC restaurant at 548 Middletown-Warwick Road, Tobin said.
In that incident, Golden allegedly approached a 27-year-old female employee and demanded cash from the register, before making off with an undisclosed sum.
Middletown police identified Golden as the suspect in the robbery on Aug. 26.
No information about his arrest in Wilmington on Sunday was available as of press time.
Golden is currently being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington on a $4,000 secured bond, Tobin said.
