  • State Police seek public's help in identifying check fraud suspect

  • Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who deposited more than 15 forged checks into a checking account.

  • Delaware State Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who deposited more than 15 forged checks into a checking account and then withdrew the funds before the fraud was discovered.
    The unidentified woman deposited checks at banks in Wilmington, Newark, Hockessin, and Bear between February and March of this year. When making the deposits she drove a late model maroon or burgundy Ford SUV.
    The suspect was described only as a black woman in her 20s or early 30s.
    Anyone with information about this suspect's identity is asked to contact the Troop 2 Financial Crimes Unit at 302-834-2630 extension 221, or by utilizing the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip Application available to download at: http://www.delaware.gov/apps/.
