The Tournament of Bands Chapter IX Championships will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 at Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, starting at 3:30 p.m.
Appoquinimink and Middletown high schools will be among the 21 marching bands competing to qualify for the Atlantic Coast Championships next weekend in Hershey, Pa.
This Saturday, participating bands will be traveling from throughout Delaware and the Eastern Shore Maryland to perform for the Chapter IX Championships, in several categories divided according to the size of the band.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased at the gate.
Appoquinimink High School is located at 1080 Bunker Hill Road, just north of Middletown-Warwick Road (Route 301).
