  • MHS, AHS marching bands compete at Atlantic Coast Championships

  • The Middletown High School Cavaliers Marching Band and the Appoquinimink High School Jaguars Marching Band both competed in the Atlantic Coast Championships in Hershey, Pa. on Oct. 27.

  • The Middletown High School Cavaliers Marching Band and the Appoquinimink High School Jaguars Marching Band both competed in the Atlantic Coast Championships in Hershey, Pa. on Oct. 27.
    The Cavaliers placed seventh out of 20 schools that competed in the Group 3 Open category, setting their all-time high score and placement at the event by earning a 55.60 in music and a 36.25 in visual for a combined 91.85.
    The Jaguars placed 11th in the same category by earning a 53 in music and a 35.15 in visual for a combined score of 85.15.
    Middletown High senior and drum major Noah Lucas also received a $1,000 scholarship during the event for his essay on how participating in marching band has influenced his life, according to Cavaliers Band Director Brian Endlein.
