  • The booster club for Middletown High School’s Air Force JROTC is currently seeking toy and food donations for its eighth-annual Children’s Christmas Holiday Party on Dec. 5.
The charitable event, held each year in the high school’s commons, provides presents, food, arts-and-crafts, entertainment and caroling for children in need who live in the Middletown-Odessa-Townsend area.
“This event is completely donation generated, including all the gifts from Santa, as well as the tasty treats,” said party chairwoman Donna Wilcox. “We truly need your help to make it a great success for these very deserving families and their children.”
The booster club is seeking new and unwrapped games, toys, books, coloring books and Crayons, gift wrapping supplies, cookies, cupcakes, fruit juices, fruit platters and other holiday treats. Donated gift cards and cash donations also will be used by the booster club to purchase gifts and snacks.
Friday, Dec. 2 is the deadline for dropping off non-perishable donations at the main office of Middletown High School. Food items will be accepted Dec. 4 and Dec. 5.
For more information or to make arrangements to have your donation picked up, please call the AFJROTC classroom at (302) 376-4140, ext. 1068 or email Wilcox at Dmpw5@msn.com.
